Description
The Cabernet Sauvignon Sangre de Toro Reserva by Torres is an elegant and structured red wine from the Catalunya denomination, made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo. This wine represents one of the most historic labels in the Spanish scene, the result of a long winemaking tradition and carefully selected vineyards by the producers.
The vinification takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, with a two-week maceration on the skins and an alcoholic fermentation lasting 7-8 days at 24-26°C. The wine then ages for at least 12 months in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new, followed by an additional minimum of 12 months in the bottle before being released to the market.
Intense cherry red in color, the nose offers a complex aromatic profile with spicy notes of tobacco leaf, sweet touches like glacé biscuit and coffee, and hints of black currant. On the palate, it is soft on entry, with good tension and sweet, round, well-structured tannins.
Thanks to its structure and complexity, it pairs perfectly with roasted red meats, mushroom-based dishes, and aged cheeses.
