Description
What type of wine is it
Maria Rigol Ordi's Brut Nature is a sparkling wine from the Cava denomination, made from Xarel-lo, Macabeu, and Parellada grapes grown in Penedès. Vinified in steel and sparkling in the bottle using the Classic Method, it offers a dry, fresh, and lively style, with an agile palate and good persistence, focused on aromatic purity and finesse.
Where does it come from
It comes from vineyards located in the area of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, in Penedès, a key area for Cava production. Here the Xarel-lo, Macabeu, and Parellada grapes offer a fresh and linear profile, consistent with the Brut Nature choice and a fine perlage.
How is it produced
Xarel-lo, Macabeu, and Parellada grapes are vinified in steel, a choice that prioritizes precision and fruit definition. The base wine then undergoes a second fermentation with prise de mousse in the bottle according to the Classic Method, to obtain a regular bubbles and an essential taste, focused on freshness and liveliness.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it shows a straw yellow color and a fine perlage. The nose opens with aromas of citrus, exotic fruit, and herbal notes. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, with a slim progression and good persistence, in line with the aromatic profile.
Food pairing
It naturally pairs with seafood appetizers and, more generally, with fish cuisine. Its freshness and liveliness complement delicate dishes and support sapidity, maintaining a smooth and precise sip.
When to serve it
It is suitable when you want a dry and dynamic glass, perfect for starting a meal or accompanying seafood dishes. The Brut Nature character and steel vinification enhance immediacy, while the bottle fermentation using the Classic Method contributes to a fine perlage and a fresh, lively drink.
