Description
The Vermiglio is a Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Superiore from the Orlandi Contucci Ponno winery, made from Montepulciano grapes grown on silty-clay soils in the municipality of Roseto degli Abruzzi, at an altitude of 200 meters. This rosé is rich, fragrant, and possesses a decisive personality.
The winemaking process involves gentle pressing and fermentation of only the free-run juice at a controlled temperature. After the alcoholic fermentation, the wine ages on the fine lees for about 4 months before bottling, scheduled for early March.
The color is intense coral vermillion. On the nose, it offers varietal aromas of ripe red fruits. The taste is full, savory, and enveloping, with delicate tannins and a beautiful overall structure.
Ideal with chitarra pasta with fish, broths, white meats, and soft cheeses.
