Description

COS's Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico comes from vineyards located in the Vittoria area, in the province of Ragusa, in south-eastern Sicily.

It is made up of 60% Nero d'Avola grapes and 40% Frappato di Vittoria, both indigenous red berry varieties. The fermentation, which takes place inside cement tanks, spontaneously starts from the yeasts naturally present on the skins, with which the must remains in contact.

The color of this Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico is deep ruby red, impenetrable. The initial bouquet of red fruits, blackberry and dried rose, after a while leaves room for an intertwining of tobacco and spices, on a light background of Mediterranean scrub. The full body and the softness of the sip, perfectly balanced with the freshness and tannin, mark the drink of this red.

Perfect with all meat dishes, both first and second courses, also enriched with sauces. The intensity of this red makes it possible to combine it with dishes with a markedly earthy character.
