Description
The Chablis Premier Cru Vaucoupin from Maison Ropiteau Frères comes from the right bank of the Serein River, in the municipality of Chichée. The very old vines have roots deep in stony and calcareous soils marked by ancient geological fractures, from which they draw mineral nourishment.
The Chardonnay grapes are carefully selected on clay-limestone soils that vary from village to village. This makes the role of the oenologist fundamental in choosing the clusters, to ensure a balance between minerality, finesse and aromatic complexity, preserving the varietal purity.
In the glass, it shows a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, it releases fresh and mineral aromas, with hints of lemon and white flowers. The palate is fine and lively, played on floral and fruity notes, with a very long aromatic persistence.
It pairs perfectly with fish in creamy sauces, pike, lobster, or fresh cheeses.
