Description
La Closerie Grand Cru Extra Brut is a blend Champagne produced by Jérôme Prévost in extremely limited quantities. This is a rare and prestigious cuvée, made with grapes from two of the most renowned Grand Cru villages in Champagne: Mesnil-sur-Oger for Chardonnay and Puisieulx for Pinot Noir. The balance between the two grape varieties gives this Champagne a strong territorial identity and great expressive depth.
Vinification and aging take place entirely in oak barrels, following the artisanal and minimalist approach that characterizes Prévost’s production philosophy. After fermentation, the wine rests for about 30 months on the lees before disgorgement. The dosage is minimal, preserving the authentic aromatic profile as much as possible.
In the glass, it opens with complex aromas of white-fleshed fruit, buttery notes, toasted hints, and mineral accents. On the palate, it is rich and deep, with a broad structure, fine well-integrated bubbles, and a persistent finish that combines freshness with a subtle smoky note.
Ideal with gourmet fish dishes or white meats accompanied by light sauces.
