Description

The Champagne Brut Cuvée 3A by De Sousa was named after the initial of the name of the 3 villages where the grapes that compose it are found: from Avize comes 50% Chardonnay, from Aÿ and Ambonnay the remaining 50% of Pinot noir. These are not only old vines (25-30 years), but also 3 prestigious Grand Crus that rest on particularly suitable chalky soils. The De Sousa maison produces wines following organic and biodynamic agriculture.

The grape harvest is manual. The Chardonnay is fermented in barrique, the Pinot Noir in cement, after which it follows the refermentation in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method. The champagne ages on the lees for at least 36 months.

Golden and bright yellow, with fine and persistent perlage. The nose is extremely interesting with notes of lemon, pineapple and mango, but also of blueberries and strawberries. The buttery note comes from its aging in wood. The wine has a rich palate, fully corresponding to the olfactory scents. Long persistence in the mouth.

Ideal in combination with seafood, white meats such as the classic chicken in wine or semi-aged and aged cheeses.
