Champagne AOC Extra Brut Avize Champ Cain 2005 Jacquesson
Description
A small Grand Cru of little more than one hectare, located in Avize, and perfectly exposed to the south; this is where the vineyards that give life to this Champagne Extra Brut Avize Grand Cru Champ Caïn are located.
A blanc de blancs produced only and exclusively with Chardonnay grapes, which after vinification is aged in barrels, where it performs the malolactic fermentation completely; then the refermentation in the bottle follows, according to the dictates of the Champenoise Method, where it remains to refine on its lees for 9 years.
On visual examination it presents an intense golden color and a fine and decidedly persistent perlage. The bouquet of perfumes that spreads on the nose highlights notes that enhance the fruity component of this wine, where peach plays the part of the protagonist, alternating with hints of honey and yeast. In the mouth it is intense, fine, with an extremely involving freshness that makes the sip very satisfying.
Excellent to be uncorked both during particularly elegant aperitifs and throughout the meal, for dinners based on fish and seafood prepared with important recipes. Also to be tasted with a truffle risotto.
The Champagne Extra Brut Avize Grand Cru Champ Caïn is one of the four lieux-dits produced by the Maison Jacquesson only when the vintage is particularly worthy of being bottled. We are therefore faced with a very interesting label, where the Avize Grand Cru emerges with all its expressive power. A real nectar reserved for a few, given that less than 10,000 bottles are produced.
