Description
What kind of wine is it
Chardonnay-Sauvignon Zero Alcohol Free is a dealcoholized white wine produced by De Stefani, made from Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in Veneto, in the Piave Valley. The style is light and fresh, designed to offer an alcohol-free alternative that retains a recognizable aromatic profile and a balanced sip.
Where does it come from
The grapes come from the Valle del Piave in Veneto, an area linked to the basin of the Piave river and ideal for viticulture. The vineyards are grown on clay-rich soils, a distinctive feature highlighted by the producer and ideal for vine cultivation, which contributes to a clear and straightforward expression of the varieties.
How is it made
The winemaking process begins with a gentle pressing of the grapes, followed by cooling the must to 0°C and a single fermentation conducted at 15°C. Dealcoholization takes place through slow heating up to 30°C under vacuum, a step designed to remove the alcohol and limit thermal impact, thereby preserving the original aromas.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it appears straw yellow. On the nose, there are intense aromas with a tropical and citrus character. The palate is light and fresh, with a smooth progression and a finish marked by flinty mineral notes that deliver vibrancy and balance.
Food pairings
It pairs well with shellfish and salmon, thanks to a fresh profile that complements without overpowering. It is also a good match for fried dishes and white meats, where its light sip and mineral finish help keep the palate fresh.
When to serve
Ideal for various occasions, from daily lunches to a light aperitif, it is suitable when an alcohol-free alternative with a wine-style profile is desired. Best enjoyed chilled, to enhance its exotic and citrus aromas as well as its mineral note. The light style and vacuum dealcoholization bring out an immediate and clean drinkability.
