Description

Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Clos du Château de la Maltroye Monopole is a high-quality white wine produced by Château de la Maltroye, a renowned wine estate located in Chassagne-Montrachet, in the Burgundy region. This wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown on clay soils with limestone outcrops.

The grapes are pressed directly, the racking and alcoholic fermentation take place at low temperatures in inert containers to preserve freshness. The vinification also includes bâtonnage, a technique that stirs the yeasts in suspension to add aromatic complexity and structure to the wine. The aging continues in oak barrels, for a period that allows the wine to develop further depth and character.

It has a golden color with green reflections and offers a complex bouquet that ranges between fruity, floral and mineral notes. On the palate it stands out for its intensity, aromatic richness and a savory and persistent finish. The combination of freshness, minerality and aromatic depth makes this wine perfect for long aging.

It pairs beautifully with fine dishes such as lobster and cheese quiche.
