Description

The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione by Colombaio di Cenci was born in the Tuscan hills in the Cornia area.

The manual harvest of the Sangiovese grapes takes place between September and October. The grapes are de-stemmed and vinified in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks, with a maceration on the skins for 15-20 days at about 25 ° C. The aging of the wine takes place in large wooden barrels for 36 months.

Ruby red in color, on the nose the wine releases hints of ripe red fruit, plum and spices, with hints of vanilla. The sip is elegant and enveloping, with silky tannins and a persistent finish.

Ideal in combination with red meats and game both stewed and roasted, as well as aged cheeses.
