Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG Vigna Montebello Sette 2013 Tolaini
Description
The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigna Montebello Sette di Tolaini was born in vineyards located in the Sienese municipality of Castelnuovo di Berardenga, in Tuscany.
It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese grapes, harvested manually and subjected to a double selection of the grapes to be used for fermentation. The must ferments in vats for 20 days at controlled temperature, followed by a brief maceration in contact with the skins. After the malolactic fermentation in tonneaux, the wine is left to age in wood for 12 months, for 6 months in steel and for a further 6 months in bottle before being released on the market.
It has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with persuasive aromas of red cherry, enriched with notes of tobacco, leather and licorice. On the palate it is powerful and structured, with well integrated tannins and a fruit that enhances its acidity, making it a pleasantly complex wine.
Perfect to accompany roasts and game, this wine is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
