Description
Rubiolo was born in the Antico Podere Gagliole vineyards, located on the splendid hills of Castellina in Chianti. This wine is the company's Chianti Classico.
It is produced 90% with Sangiovese grapes and 10% with Merlot grapes, harvested by hand in small boxes. After the classic red winemaking processes, the must is divided into three parts to carry out the evolutionary phase. One part ages in oak barriques, the second in oak vats and the third rests in steel. Assembly and bottling follows, with subsequent aging in glass for about three months.
Rubiolo di Gagliole is characterized by a beautiful intense ruby red color. The nose offers a delicious bouquet of ripe red fruit, well accompanied by delicate floral notes of violet and spicy sensations. In the mouth it shows excellent softness, due to the smoothing action of Merlot on Sangiovese, well assisted by good freshness.
Perfect for grilled red meat and game dishes. Also excellent to accompany aged cheese boards.
