Description

The Lastricato of Castello del Trebbio was born in the homonymous vineyard located in the Chianti Rufina area.

It is produced only with Sangiovese grapes harvested and selected manually. After further selection of the grapes on the sorting table, fermentation takes place naturally mainly in terracotta amphora. Subsequently the Sangiovese is aged in oak barrels for 30 months and in bottle for a further 12 months.

Sangiovese shows all its power and elegance: the nose is fascinating with notes of dark cherries and spices; in aging it releases clear balsamic notes. On the palate it sounds compact, light and well balanced in the tannins. Very long and pleasant finish

Perfect in combination with first courses with meat sauce, stewed game, grilled meat. From the tenth year it becomes an excellent meditation wine.
