Description
The Colli Maceratesi Montelipa of Villa Forano was born in vineyards located on the hills of Appignano, in the province of Macerata.
It is produced with Sangiovese, Lacrima and Vernaccia Nera grapes, selected and harvested by hand during the first half of October. After destemming and crushing, the grapes ferment with stainless steel maceration and refine in wooden barrels for a few months before bottling.
Montelipa has a ruby red color with slight purple reflections. The nose opens with clear floral and fruity hints, among which notes of rose, raspberry and black currant stand out, followed by spicy memories of white pepper. In the mouth it is soft and balanced, with a freshness well harmonized with the alcohol content and moderate and mature tannins. The finish is savory and persistent.
Ideal to accompany appetizers of cured meats and semi-mature cheeses, it is perfect in combination with first courses with white and red meat sauces. Excellent also with legume soups and game.
