Colli Piacentini DOC Cabernet Sauvignon Luna Selvatica 2014 La Tosa

"Luna Selvatica" is a Cabernet Sauvignon that reflects the Piacenza soul. It originates from the Ronco and Morello vineyards, located in the province of Piacenza.

The vineyards are located at an altitude of between 190 and 210 meters above sea level, planted on poorly fertile clayey-silty soil. It is made up of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and the remaining 10% Merlot. The harvest for the two varieties of grapes takes place in separate moments, based on the achievement of perfect ripeness. A maceration of about 15 days precedes the fermentation and aging of 12 months in barrique. Finally, it is bottled without filtration.

At sight it shows an intense ruby red color. The notes of cherry and blackberry paint the fruity trait, while an herbaceous memory weaves the texture of the background together with the spices. In the mouth it is warm and soft, enlivened by good freshness and supported by an excellent structure.
