Description
What kind of wine is it
Collio Sauvignon Blanc Marco Felluga is a white wine from Friuli Venezia Giulia made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc. Fermentation in steel and contact with the lees contribute to a clean and vibrant style, offering clear freshness, good structure, and persistence on the palate.
Where it comes from
It originates in Collio, a hilly area of the province of Gorizia, with vineyards near Gradisca d'Isonzo. Marco Felluga is a historic Friulian winery, founded in 1956, that interprets this area, suited to white wines, through products with a defined and unmistakable profile.
How it is produced
After the harvest, the grapes are destemmed; juice and pulp undergo a cold maceration followed by gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, with maturation continuing for about six months on the lees in the same containers, preserving aromatic clarity and vibrancy on the palate.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it shows an intense straw yellow color. The nose reveals fresh aromas of sage, elderflower, and fresh bell pepper. The palate is fresh and sapid, with a well-structured texture and a focused persistence that recalls its varietal characteristics.
Food pairings
It pairs naturally with sea fish and freshwater fish, where its freshness complements simple preparations. It also suits white meats, especially with delicate cooking, thanks to its sapid palate and good aromatic endurance.
When to serve it
This white wine is ideal when you want a fresh and precise sip, fitting both as an aperitif and at the table. Served well chilled, it enhances its herbal and floral aromas and balances fish dishes and white meats, keeping a sapid and persistent finish.
