Description

It is a line, that of '61, created to celebrate the splendor and splendor of the year of birth of the first Franciacorta, created in 1961 in the centuries-old Berlucchi cellars, after the meeting of Guido and Franco Ziliani. For an exclusive gift, this special edition box represents the ultimate in elegance. It is an edition that, in addition to the exclusivity of the two bottles, turns green because it supports the Treedom Project. This is the adoption of a tree, which you can choose and see planted by a farmer who will take care of it with love, photographed and geolocated to give you the opportunity to follow its growth from a distance.

This elegant box contains two versions of the 61 line, Satèn and Brut. Franciacorta Satèn is born from highly suited grapes of the Franciacorta territory. Its harvest period is between the first ten days of August and the first ten days of September. After a light pressing of the bunches with fractionation of the musts, alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats. The cuvée is prepared in the spring following the harvest, while there is a second fermentation in the bottle and a subsequent aging on its lees for at least 24 months, followed by another 2 months after disgorgement. Its intense straw yellow color shines in the glass, while it opens to the nose with its bouquet of ripe tropical fruit. It wraps the palate with its fresh and elegant flavor, with a persistent finish. It is the ideal wine to taste as an aperitif and to accompany delicate risotto and fish main courses.

Franciacorta Brut comes from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a clear prevalence of the former over the latter. Its harvest period is between the first ten days of August and the first ten days of September. After a light pressing of the bunches with fractionation of the musts, alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats. It is characterized by a light and soft foam, with a subtle perlage. It irradiates the glass with its straw yellow color, with reflections that tend to greenish. The nose opens with its delicate and rich aroma, while the taste is revealed of remarkable freshness: it is a soft, balanced sparkling wine, in which the citrus scents are very recognizable. Excellent to drink with an aperitif, it admirably accompanies some typical dishes of Franciacorta, such as casoncelli and lake fish. It enhances first courses like delicate risotto and second courses like light white meats. To try absolutely with fresh and medium-aged cheeses.
