Description
The Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru by Domaine Jacques Prieur is a white wine produced 100% with Chardonnay grapes, grown on a plot of 0.22 hectares located on the hill of the Grands Crus of Corton, with east orientation and very calcareous soils which give an intense mineral quality to the wine.
The winemaking involves the manual harvesting of the grapes in small crates, pneumatic pressing, cold decantation of the must for 36 hours in controlled temperature conditions, alcoholic fermentation and maturation exclusively in oak barriques, with 100% malolactic fermentation and a duration of aging of 20 months.
The Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru by Domaine Jacques Prieur presents itself with a green-gold color enriched by silvery reflections, immediately testifying to its uniqueness and complexity. On the nose, the wine opens discreetly, revealing intriguing notes of anise and pepper, which invite an in-depth tasting. In the mouth, the wine surprises with its energy and tension, offering a sophisticated balance of vanilla and spices, which blend into an extremely pleasant and satisfying finish.
Perfect in combination with rich and tasty fish dishes, such as lobster thermidor or baked salmon with aromatic herbs, as well as aged goat or sheep cheeses, Jacques Prieur's Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru will enhance any meal with its complex structure and its refined balance.
