Description

The Corton-Charlemagne by Maison Bouchard Père & Fils is a Grand Cru made with Chardonnay grapes from the famous Le Corton parcel.

With optimal exposure and thanks to clayey-calcareous soils, the harvest is carried out manually to quickly transport the grapes to the cellar and proceed with the pressing. After fermentation, the wine is aged for at least 12 months in wooden barrels also using a percentage of new wood.

Intense straw yellow in color, it has a very broad bouquet with yellow pulp fruits and notes of wildflowers that are a prelude to a pleasant freshness. On the palate it is rich and persuasive, well balanced between the fruity part and a subtle toasting that also leaves room for light sweet spices. Long persistence, it maintains a high aging potential.

Perfect wine to accompany fresh and semi-mature cheeses, vegetable-based first courses such as vegetarian lasagna. Also recommended with grilled white meats.
