Description

Le Corton by Maison Bouchard Père & Fils is a Grand Cru made with Pinot Noir grapes from the famous Aloxe-Corton area.

One of Charlemagne's favorites according to legend, this wine is obtained from vineyards grown on clayey-limestone soils with perfect exposure to the east. After arriving in the cellar, the must ferments in small containers before refining for a variable period between 12 and 14 months in wood with a percentage of 50% of new wood.

Of medium intensity ruby red color, it offers a complex nose of ripe red and black fruits, with a return of smoky and spicy notes that finish well in olfactory density. Balanced and rich, it has soft and measured tannins on the palate, nice acidity and a long finish. Very suitable for aging.

Suitable for game dishes, it expresses extreme delicacy also in combination with semi-mature cheeses and red meats cooked on the grill.
