Description
The Côte de Beaune-Villages from Labouré-Roi is a Pinot Noir made from grapes sourced from fourteen municipalities in the Côte de Beaune, including Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Romain, and Santenay. The soils are varied, with the presence of brown limestone, red stones, ferruginous oolites, marls, clays, and sand. The vineyards, located between 180 and 280 meters in altitude, benefit from southeast and south exposures, ideal for the balanced ripening of the grapes.
After manual harvesting, the grapes are selected and destemmed, followed by cold maceration for five days at 8-10°C. The alcoholic fermentation is managed with two punch-downs daily for two weeks. The wine matures for 12 months: 70% in stainless steel and 30% in barrels, to maintain freshness and add structure and elegance.
Brilliant garnet red in color, it offers aromas of cherry, spices, and a light woody note on the nose. The palate is soft and pleasant, with a decisive attack and mature tannins that provide roundness. It is an elegant and well-balanced wine, combining freshness and generosity.
Ideal with eggs in meurette sauce, grilled lamb chops, spiced sausage, pizza, or creamy cheeses.
