Coteaux du Layon AOC Les Bruandières 2015 Patrick Baudouin
Description
Patrick Baudouin's Les Bruandieres comes from vineyards located in the commune of Saint-Aubin de Luigné, France.
It consists of Chenin Blanc grapes, obtained from vines with an average age of 25 years; they extend over an area of 1.5 hectares, defined by a soil rich in quartz and rhyolite. Once the desired degree of drying is reached, the grapes are harvested and vinified thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts. A period of aging in barriques gives the wine the necessary maturation.
Its color is golden yellow. The scent reveals a multitude of hints that play on sweet and fruity notes: apple jam, candied citrus peel, acacia honey and maple syrup. The taste is elegantly balanced between sweetness, softness and features of flavor and freshness. Closes in a persistence of great aromatic intensity.
Excellent to combine with both seasoned and blue cheeses, it proves perfect to accompany a Sicilian cassata.
