McLaren Vale Shiraz GI Dead Arm 2017 D'Arenberg
Description
The Dead Arm from D'Arenberg winery is made with 100% Shiraz grapes in McLaren Vale in South Australia.
The vinification begins with a soft pressing and the fermentation of the two assembled varieties takes place in open vats while in part the wine is transferred to French and American oak barrels to continue fermentation and begin maturation lasting 10 months. The wine does not undergo clarification and filtering.
Of a beautiful ruby red with purple reflections, it presents to the nose notes of black fruits, toasting and smoking followed by earthy and spicy hints. All the typicality emerges on the palate, with great concentration and perfect balance between tannins and acidity. The tannin is fine and elegant and the finish is noticeably long.
Perfect for pork and grilled red meats, it goes well with cold cuts and first courses with meat sauces.
