Description
What kind of wine is it
Trevenezie Rosato Miglio La Frassina is a Veneto rosé wine made from Merlot and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso. Vinification in steel with a short skin contact delivers a dry, smooth profile offering freshness, savoriness, and a clean persistence, making it easy to pair at the table.
Where it comes from
It is born in Caorle, in the province of Venice, where La Frassina is a family-run estate bordering the Valle Zignago. The vineyards root in alluvial soils with limestone and medium-textured clay components. Since 2000, the winery has undergone a renovation of vineyards and cellar.
How it is produced
The grapes are usually harvested in the second half of September and vinified in steel tanks. Maceration on the skins lasts about 12 hours, then the must ferments at 18–20 °C for 10–12 days. It is then aged for about five months in steel to preserve a clean and direct character.
Tasting notes
In the glass it shows a bright cherry pink color. The bouquet recalls violet and red fruits, with notes of cherry and wild strawberry. The palate is dry, supported by good savoriness and a steady persistence, with a clean finish.
Food pairings
Its freshness and savoriness make it suitable for seafood dishes with tomato sauce. It pairs nicely with first courses with seafood tomato sauce and is a natural match for Livornese-style red mullet, accompanying the dish without overpowering it.
When to serve
This rosé is designed for immediate, straightforward drinking, ideal when looking for a dry and savory wine to accompany fish and Mediterranean cuisine. The choice of steel and the absence of oak put the red fruit aromas and freshness front and center, making it suitable for a full meal or informal moments.
