Delle Venezie IGT Rosso Lazzarone 2011 Tenute Salvaterra
Description
Lazzarone di Salvaterra was born in the vineyards located within the Prun and Mezzane estates, on the hills of the historic Valpolicella region.
It is made thanks to a skilful blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone grapes, typical varieties of the territory. After a selection of the best bunches, dried in the fruit cellar, this wine undergoes a soft pressing, and then ferments at a controlled temperature of 18-20 ° C, for about 30 days. 3/4 of the product then refines in wood, for a duration of 9 months, between barriques and large barrels.
It shows an intense ruby red color. The nose has an intense but at the same time soft aroma of sweet spices. In the mouth it is vigorous, full-bodied, structured, but also soft and velvety, with hints of cherry and black currant, which blend well with the complexity of the wine.
Excellent with game, red meats and aged cheeses. Also perfect as a meditation wine.
