Dogliani DOCG Dolcetto 2016 San Fereolo
Description
Dogliani Dolcetto di San Fereolo is produced in the Piedmont area of the Langhe.
Dolcetto in purity, coming from the San Fereolo, Austri, Costabella and Cerri Sottani vineyards. They are located at an altitude ranging from 400 to 500 meters above sea level and are made up of vines with an average age between 40 and 70 years, planted on medium-textured soil with the presence of limestone. The harvest is done manually and is followed by a vinification carried out entirely in wood. At the end of the malolactic fermentation, the wine ages in wooden containers of different sizes in contact with its fine lees. Two years after the harvest, it is bottled and completes its maturation with a year of rest in the bottle.
The color is bright and bright ruby red. Its scent is pleasantly fruity and recalls a fresh and crunchy red fruit, such as cherry, raspberry, strawberry and blackberries; an ink note outlines a not obvious bouquet. In the mouth it is moderately tannic and full-bodied, fresh and marked by juice.
Ideal to accompany excellent tajarin with meat sauce.
