Description
Elio Altare's Dolcetto d'Alba is a wine made from Dolcetto grapes sourced from vineyards with an average age between 20 and 40 years, located on calcareous and partly sandy soils, predominantly exposed to the north and northeast. The production reflects an authentic and territorial style, aiming to enhance the freshness and typical character of the grape variety.
Vinification takes place by macerating the skins in a rotary fermenter at controlled temperature for a short period, in order to preserve the aromatic fragrance. The wine is then aged in steel for several months, maintaining the varietal characteristics and the liveliness of the fruit intact.
It displays an intense purple-red color. Elegant scents of violet and small red fruits emerge on the nose. The palate is dry and smooth, with subtle yet well-integrated tannins and an intense expression of red fruits.
Perfect paired with appetizers, first courses, white meats, and pizza.
