Emilia IGP Lambrusco Ortigara Brusch Nature 2015 Quarticello
Description
Ortigara is a Classic Method produced by the Quarticello winery. Located in the province of Reggio Emilia, this signature could only generate an excellent sparkling Lambrusco, made up of 70% Lambrusco Maestri varieties and the remaining 30% Lambrusco Grasparossa.
The vineyards used are located precisely in the Montecchio Emilia area and are defined by medium-textured soil with the presence of gravel at low depth. The maceration of the must in contact with the skins lasts about 2 days; once the winemaking process is complete, it is bottled. At that point the natural bottle refermentation phase begins, which provides for a stop on the lees for at least 15 months.
It is ruby red, lively and very bright. Its bouquet is fruity and crunchy: reminiscent of strawberry, cherry and fresh red flowers, on a light pastry background. In the mouth it is a fresh, lively, fruity juice, with a barely perceived tannic texture that enhances the sip.
