Description
What kind of wine is it
The Etna Bianco Pietrarizzo by Tornatore is a white wine made from Carricante and Catarratto grapes, with a fresh, saline profile and good complexity.
Where it comes from
It originates from vineyards located in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia, on the northern slope of Etna.
How it is made
The grapes are harvested and selected exclusively by hand in the second ten-day period of October. After a gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in oak barrels at a controlled temperature of 15-16°C. The wine then ages on the fine lees for five months and is further refined for another five months in wooden barrels and in bottle before release.
Tasting notes
It shows an intense straw yellow color with greenish highlights. On the nose it opens with pronounced notes of tropical fruit, grapefruit and white peach. On the palate it is fresh, saline and displays good complexity.
Food pairings
Perfect with white meats, especially grilled, it is also ideal with all fish dishes.
When to serve it
Its fresh, saline profile makes it suitable to accompany the mentioned dishes throughout the meal.
