Description
This rosé wine, produced by the historic Neri company located in Linguaglossa on the slopes of Etna, is made exclusively from Nerello Mascalese grapes. The vineyard, just 5 hectares in size, is situated 600 meters above sea level and enjoys a unique terroir, characterized by a volcanic soil rich in minerals. The production is limited, making each bottle a true treasure of the Etna territory.
The winemaking follows traditional methods, utilizing temperature-controlled stainless steel fermenters. After alcoholic fermentation, carried out with selected yeasts, the wine matures in stainless steel for a period of 4-5 months. This approach helps to preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit, enhancing the typical characteristics of Nerello Mascalese.
It presents a bright onion-skin color, and on the nose, it reveals delicate floral aromas of geranium and rose, enriched by notes of small berries and herbaceous nuances of oregano. On the palate, it is fresh and elegant, with a pleasant savoriness and good persistence, accompanied by a fruity and harmonious finish.
It pairs perfectly with appetizers based on cured meats, omelettes, seafood dishes such as fish tartare and tuna steak with pistachio sauce, as well as pizza alla Norma.
