Etna Rosso Arcurìa DOC 2016 Graci
Description
Etna Rosso Arcurìa di Graci originates from an ancient vineyard located in the homonymous district of Arcuria, in the Passopisciaro district of Castiglione di Sicilia, on the north-east side of the Etna volcano.
It is obtained from grapes, grown according to the dictates of organic agriculture, of the autochthonous Nerello Mascalese variety, harvested only by hand. The must ferments without temperature control in conical oak vats, with maceration on the skins for 30-90 days. At the end of the malolactic fermentation, the wine is left to rest in large oak vats for 24 months and ages for a further 6 months in the bottle.
The color of Graci's Arcurìa appears bright ruby red. Hints of undergrowth, menthol and leather emerge in the glass. On the palate it is soft and full-bodied, with silky tannins and pleasant hints of red fruit.
It combines well roasted or stewed meats and very mature cheeses.
