Description
What kind of wine is it
Fonzone Fiano di Avellino is a white wine made exclusively from Fiano grapes grown in Irpinia, in the municipality of Lapio. Vinification and aging in stainless steel focus on freshness, balance, and well-defined aromas, with a persistent finish and a pleasantly viscous final sensation.
Where does it come from
The grapes come from vineyards located in the municipality of Lapio, in the heart of Irpinia, Campania, an area historically tied to Fiano di Avellino. The manual harvesting and selection reinforce the connection with the original parcels and ensure attentive management of the raw material, aiming at aromatic clarity and expressive purity.
How is it produced
The Fiano grapes are harvested and selected by hand in the first ten days of October. After a gentle pressing, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a low, controlled temperature for about a month. The wine then ages in steel for five months before bottling.
Tasting notes
In the glass it shows a straw yellow color with greenish highlights. The nose is delicate and orderly, with nuances of citrus and orange blossom, followed by notes of linden and a hint of almond paste. On the palate it is fresh and balanced, with a persistent and pleasantly viscous finish.
Food pairings
It pairs naturally with fish dishes and truly shines with oysters, thanks to its freshness and aromatic definition. It is also suitable for preparations such as grilled vegetables, which enhance its balance without overpowering its aromas.
When to serve
It is recommended for lunch or dinner when you want a white wine with well-defined aromas and balanced freshness. It is also a fine choice as an aperitif at the table and during a meal focused on seafood or grilled vegetable dishes, offering palate cleanliness and a lingering finish to accompany the closing.
