Description
The Spumante Franciacorta Cuvée Speciale Montenisa of the Marquis Antinori was born in the homonymous estate, located south of Lake Iseo, in one of the regions with the highest wine-growing vocation in the region.
It is produced 95% with Chardonnay grapes and 5% with Pinot Blanc grapes, harvested in late summer and subjected to a soft pressing separately. The fermentation of the must must takes place partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in barriques, then the wines are assembled and bottled, where the second alcoholic fermentation process begins in contact with the yeasts for 24 months. After disgorgement, the wine rests in the bottle for another 3 months.
It has a pale straw yellow color and a creamy foam with fine and persistent perlage. The nose opens with fragrant and immediate aromas of flowers and white-fleshed fruit, among which apple and peach stand out with fresh and balanced notes. In the mouth it is lively and fresh, with the right basic balance and a marked elegance.
Perfect as an aperitif, this wine is ideal to accompany fish and seafood crudité appetizers.
