Description

The fruit of tradition and the innovative spirit of the Barone Pizzini winery, Franciacorta Extra Brut Golf 1927 was born in the hilly terrain of Franciacorta, in particular in the communes of Provaglio d'Iseo, Passirano, Corte Franca and Capriolo. The name pays homage to the founding of one of the first golf courses in Italy by Baron Edoardo Pizzini, a symbol of the company's pioneering vocation. The wine is produced according to organic farming principles, from Chardonnay grapes grown in vineyards located between 200 and 350 metres above sea level.

The vinification process involves soft pressing of the grapes and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Maturation in stainless steel follows for about eight months before bottling. Refinement on the lees in the bottle lasts between 20 and 30 months, contributing to the development of aromatic complexity and structure. The entire production process is marked by respect for biodiversity and the environment, excluding the use of chemically synthesised substances both in the vineyard and in the cellar.

The glass shows fine and persistent perlage, accompanied by delicate aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers and light toasted notes. The sip is harmonious, taut and vertical, with a dry and dynamic taste that enhances freshness and minerality, offering a persistent and refined finish. The balance between delicacy and incisiveness makes it a Franciacorta with a strong personality, capable of expressing the character of the terroir at its best.

Perfect as an aperitif, it goes elegantly with shellfish dishes, pasta with vegetables or fish, white meats and cheeses such as Grana Padano.
