Description

What kind of wine it is

Franciacorta Brut Corte alle Stelle is a Franciacorta made from a balanced blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco. The winemaking process follows the Traditional Method and defines an essential style that gives the glass a fresh and rounded profile. Alcoholic fermentation takes place slowly in temperature-controlled stainless steel to preserve the must's utmost aromatic purity before maturation.

Where it comes from

This wine comes from Franciacorta, a wine region in Lombardy deeply influenced by the climate of Lake Iseo. Reference to this body of water evokes an area where sparkling wine production is historically established and distinctive. The geographical origin places the winery in a region with a natural vocation for wine and imparts an inclination towards refinement.

How it is produced

Vinification of Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco begins with a slow fermentation of the must in stainless steel. The subsequent secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Traditional Method. Resting and aging on the lees lasts for eighteen months – a key stage that gives the wine complex layers and a well-defined structure on the palate.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows a pale straw yellow color and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose is dominated by clear yeasty notes from the prolonged lees contact, followed by hints of custard and subtle reminders of citrus peel. On the palate, it is decisive and rounded, with a refreshingly vibrant sensation brought by the lively bubbles that carry the sip and end with remarkable clarity.

What to pair it with

At the table, it pairs well with first and second courses of fish, enhancing dishes where freshness and roundness work in tandem. This Brut is also effective alongside white meats, thanks to its bold and balanced flavor profile. For a classic pairing, it’s perfect served with a seafood risotto, fully honoring traditional flavors.

When to serve it

This wine is suitable when you’re looking for an essential Franciacorta Brut, ideal as an aperitif or to accompany the entire meal. Its extended aging on the lees makes it perfect to open for fish dinners, ensuring a fresh finish. The label is embellished with the constellations of Aquarius, Capricorn, and Sagittarius, a distinctive detail of the brand.
