Description
What kind of wine is it
Franciacorta Brut Satèn Magnificentia by Uberti is a Franciacorta Satèn made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown on the Brescia hills. This white wine, made using the Traditional Method, stands out for its soft structure, fine perlage and balanced freshness. The lees aging for at least 36 months gives it aromatic complexity and a harmonious flavor profile; it’s aimed at those looking for elegance and precision in the glass.
Where does it come from
Magnificentia is born from the vineyards of Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta, a region historically renowned for sparkling wine production. This area defines the distinctive character of the wine.
How is it produced
The Chardonnay grapes are hand-picked, selecting only the best bunches. After gentle pressing, the must ferments both in stainless steel and oak vats. Blending precedes the prise de mousse in the bottle following the Traditional Method, with a long maturation on the lees for at least 36 months. Remuage and dégorgement, typical procedures of the Traditional Method, complete the process and ensure clarity and finesse in the final product.
Tasting notes
To the eye, Magnificentia offers a bright straw yellow color and a very fine perlage. On the nose, there are aromas of white flowers, notes of yeast, and delicate nuances of oak. The palate is complex and creamy, with hints of bread crust, fresh butter, and a light citrus note. The finish is dry, clean, and persistent, with a balance between acidity and softness.
What to pair it with
This Franciacorta Satèn elegantly pairs with raw fish and shellfish dishes, such as tuna tartare and oysters. It also works with risotto alla milanese or luganega bresciana, and enhances smoked salmon dishes and seafood salads. Among international options, salmon sushi with mango offers an interesting contrast of flavors. A saffron risotto enhances the wine’s smoothness and freshness.
When to serve it
Magnificentia is ready to drink now and can positively evolve in the cellar for several years. Thanks to the long lees aging and fresh structure, it maintains aromatic quality over time. It is best served chilled in flutes or tulip-shaped glasses, to highlight the persistence of the bubbles and the delicate aromas. Suitable for special occasions or moments of contemplation.
