Description

What kind of wine is it?

Franciacorta Dosaggio Zero Santa Lucia is a refined and authentic expression of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The base is fermented in steel and used oak pie8ces, then the secondary fermentation takes place using the Traditional Method, offering a dry and precise profile that highlights the purity of the fruit and the distinct taste typical of dosaggio zero.

Where does it come from?

The grapes are carefully selected from vineyards cultivated in the heart of Franciacorta. Choosing to work in this prime area allows for a faithful reflection of its origins, focusing on the balance between freshness and complexity without resorting to dosage adjustments.

How is it produced?

Harvesting is manual and takes place at optimal ripeness. Vinification occurs at controlled temperatures in steel tanks and used oak pie8ces; the second fermentation then takes place in bottle using the Traditional Method. Ageing on the lees lasts for at least 30 months in the cellar at a constant temperature, with disgorgement carried out without any dosage liqueur added.

Tasting notes

In the glass it appears a bright straw yellow, with a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet combines citrus and floral notes with hints of bread crust and almond. The palate is balanced and enveloping, sustained by lively freshness and savoriness, with a long, harmonious finish and a dry close.

Food pairings

Its dryness and creamy texture make it suitable for appetizers, fish dishes, and white meat preparations. The fine bubbles help cleanse the palate, while the freshness pairs well with simple dressings and delicate textures.

When to serve it

It is recommended both as an aperitif and at the table, especially with fish or white meat courses. Serve it chilled to enhance the finesse of the bubbles and the clarity of its aromas; letting it rest in the glass for a few minutes will bring out more distinctly the yeast and dried fruit nuances linked to the long aging on the lees.
