Description

What kind of wine is it?

Alma Assemblage by Bellavista is a Franciacorta Extra Brut that combines Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc. Made according to the strict rules of the Traditional Method, it offers a fresh, dynamic, and elegant style, with a mineral-driven finish that keeps the sip defined. Its base comes from a delicate pressing of the free-run must, accompanied by partial maturation in oak barrels and skillful aging on the lees, which define its tasting precision.

Where does it come from?

The grapes for this blend are sourced from Bellavista's best parcels, situated in Franciacorta. The vineyards, characterized by vines with an average age of almost thirty years, guarantee consistent raw materials suitable for creating an Extra Brut version. This hilly Lombard area stands out for its meticulous viticulture, focused on selecting sites to ensure freshness, natural balance, and a clear mineral imprint on the wine.

How is it made?

The manual harvest takes place between late summer and early autumn. The free-run must is extracted by gentle pressing to preserve aromatic purity. The secondary fermentation follows the Traditional Method and includes aging on the lees for about thirty months. A portion of the base wines matures in oak barrels, while the manual riddling completes a rigorous production process, essential to giving structure and a long-lasting effervescence.

Tasting notes

This Franciacorta displays a bright yellow color, animated by a fine and persistent perlage. The nose offers a refined bouquet of Mediterranean flowers, enriched by clear citrus notes that provide sharpness to the aromatic profile. On the palate, it is dynamic and showcases a harmonious synergy between freshness and ripe fruit. The mineral finish is deep and dry, confirming the Extra Brut character and the acquired complexity.

Food pairings

Its liveliness and saline finish make this wine perfect as an aperitif and to accompany delicate seafood dishes. It enhances shellfish and fresh cheeses, accentuating their soft textures. It also shines with fish-based plates, creating a play of balance between savory and fragrant notes. Its aromatic definition effectively supports seafood appetizers and flavorful carpaccios as well.

When to serve it

It is the ideal choice to accompany a formal aperitif or to start a seafood-based dinner, as it brings immediate freshness to the palate. Its maturation makes it enjoyable when a structured yet pleasantly flowing profile is desired. Capable of fitting both casual gatherings and elegant occasions, it offers its best when served well-chilled. Low temperatures enhance its citrus characteristics and saline tension, ensuring a precise and satisfying sip.
