Description

What kind of wine is it?

Franciacorta Rosé Annalisa Faifer by Clarabella is a Franciacorta Extra Brut made from organic Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes grown in Lombardy. This is a sparkling wine that undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle, featuring a dry and defined profile. The short maceration and extended contact with the lees create a creamy texture, supported by savoriness and minerality.

Where does it come from?

The grapes are sourced from Monte Orfano, in the province of Brescia, at the heart of Franciacorta. This hill identifies a well-recognised area within the region, contributing to a clear expression marked by perceptible minerality and savoriness that accompany every sip.

How is it made?

The winemaking process involves a very brief maceration of the red grape skins in the must, lasting only a few hours, to extract color and aromas without excessive extraction. This is followed by a second fermentation in the bottle using the Classic Method, with aging on the lees for at least 36 months. This step integrates fruit and adds yeasty notes while maintaining the dry Extra Brut style.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a rosé color with a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, there are red fruits like marasca cherry, floral hints, and a touch of yeast. The palate is creamy, dry, and precise, with pronounced savoriness and minerality, finishing clean with fruit and subtle yeasty nuances.

Pairings

It naturally pairs at the table with raw fish and shellfish, where dryness and creaminess balance the delicacy of the flesh. It is also well-matched with salmon, roast beef, and duck, thanks to the structure sustained by lees aging and its clearly defined fruity profile.

When to serve

It is recommended when you seek a dry and focused rosé capable of accompanying a meal throughout without losing precision. The minimum 36 months of lees contact add depth without heaviness, while the savory and mineral component makes it suitable for both seafood dishes and delicate meats, served chilled.
