Description

The Friuli Grave Merlot Vistorta of the Conte Brandolini d'Adda winery is born in vineyards cultivated on the gentle hills of Friuli.

It is produced exclusively with Merlot grapes from different vineyards of the company, pressed and fermented separately, then macerated at controlled temperature for 18-25 days. Subsequently, part of the wine is placed in barrique for malolactic fermentation and then assembled. The wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels and ages for 5 months in bottle before being marketed.

It has a bright ruby red color. The nose opens with hints of red and black fruits, enriched with notes of fruit in alcohol, coffee, cocoa and coriander, with slight smoky accents. The mouth is rich, with aromas of black currant and blackberries, with soft tannins. Overall it is an elegant wine with a good structure.

Perfect to accompany mushroom risotto and grilled red meat, it is excellent in combination with medium and long-aged cheeses.
