Description

The Chardonnay Vie di Romans is a dry white wine produced in the municipality of Mariano del Friuli, in the Friuli Isonzo Rive Alte area. The grapes come exclusively from the Vie di Romans vineyard, located at 31 meters above sea level, characterized by reddish clay soils, rich in iron and aluminum oxides.

The grapes are handpicked in September and undergo destemming followed by cold skin maceration. After a static clarification, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature between 16 and 19°C with selected yeasts for a duration of 20 days. The wine then ages for 9 months on the lees naturally, followed by another 9 months of bottle aging before commercialization.

The appearance is a bright straw yellow color. The aroma is intense and complex, with notes of ripe fruit, white flowers, and light mineral nuances. On the palate, it is full and structured, with a pleasant freshness and a long and harmonious finish, a true expression of the Friulian territory.

Perfect when paired with baked fish dishes and seafood risottos.
