Gevrey-Chambertin AOC Les Platières 2009 Domaine Guyon

Domaine Guyon's Gevrey Chambertine Les Platières was born in the Côte de Nuits wine-growing area, renowned for the production of Pinot Noir grapes.

It is produced entirely with Pinot Noir grapes, harvested and selected mainly by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 25-28 days. Subsequently the wine ages for 10-14 months in oak barrels, half new, before being bottled.

Les Platières by Domaine Guyon is characterized by an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with inviting aromas of cassis, blackberry and black cherry; over time it develops animal notes as a side dish. In the mouth it shows a good structure and balanced, with sweet and soft tannins.

Perfect in combination with stewed meats and white meats, it is ideal to serve with soft cheeses, with a pungent smell, such as the French cheeses Epoisses and Chambertin.
