Description

Cascià is a red passito that comes from the Fontezoppa vineyards, located in the DOC of Sanseverino, near Macerata.

This sweet wine is made exclusively with Vernaccia Nera grapes, an autochthonous grape from Macerata, left to dry and harvested by hand. Obtained from the pressing of the dried grapes, the must is then left to ferment and evolve in French oak barriques for at least 3 years.

Cascià is characterized by an amber color, with an elegant ruby reflection. The nose, the sweet notes of honey and caramel, are followed by hints of dried fruit and dried figs, with delicate woody sensations, conferred by the long stay in small barrels. In the mouth it proves silky and bewitching, with a slightly spicy finish.

Perfect as a meditation wine, it goes perfectly with creamy desserts and pastries for the end of the meal.
