Description
The Aglianico from Bosco del Sabato is a pure Aglianico from the hills of Irpinia, characterized by a beautiful ruby red color with violet reflections.
The vinification involves a cold pre-maceration to enhance the extraction of aromas and color, followed by a controlled temperature fermentation for about fifteen days. It then ages mainly in steel, with a brief passage in French oak barriques.
On the nose, notes of red fruits such as cherry, sour cherry, and blackcurrant emerge, with intriguing spicy notes. On the palate, it is soft, harmonious, with a pleasant intensity that culminates in a finish characterized by wild blackberry and cherry puree.
It is perfect with appetizers, pasta dishes, red meats, and aged cheeses.
