Product details
Jurançon AOC 2016 Uroulat
Description
The Uroulat sweet wine originates in the South West of France, in the area known as Jurancon.
It consists of 100% Petit Manseng grapes, coming from vineyards characterized by soils with pebbly surfaces. The climate is very affected by the proximity to the Pyrenees, allowing the specific adaptation of some grape varieties. The bunches of Petit Manseng used to produce the Urolat are harvested manually during the month of November. In the cellar they are softly pressed and the must obtained is left to ferment in wooden barrels, 20% new. The aging continues within the same for a period of about 10 months.
At sight it is bright golden yellow. Its perfume is made up of fruity notes reminiscent of apricot, mango and exotic fruit. In the mouth it shows an enveloping velvety body and an intense, engaging character. Closes in a sweet final of honey and yellow fruits.
Perfect to combine with a foie gras escalope.
