Description
La Luna ei Falò is the complex and elegant label of Vite Colte, presented here in its nuances. It owes its name to the famous Langhe novel The moon and the bonfires of Cesare Pavese, a work that, among the various themes that it addresses, pays homage to the wine and full and full-bodied Piedmont wines, of which this label is a splendid example.
Barbera d'Asti Superiore is obtained from vineyards managed at low yields in line with the requirements of the "Superbarbera" project. After a traditional winemaking, the wine ages for 12 months, the time in which the wine builds a robust structure rich in extract. A wine with hints of violet, licorice and vanilla, with a full and soft body with a persistent finish of berries.
Nizza is the former sub-area of Barbera d'Asti with characteristics so typical that it constitutes a denomination in its own right. The vineyard is planted on soils of limestone origin, rich in organic substances. The grapes are harvested slightly overripe, then vinified in red with a maceration of about 15 days. After malolactic fermentation, this wine evolves in barrique for 15 months and completes the refinement with 6 months of rest in the bottle.
