Langhe DOC Rosso 2012 Roagna
Description
The Langhe Rosso di Roagna comes from the youngest nebbiolo vines owned by the winery, which have a maximum age of about 20-25 years. They are located in vineyards belonging to the Pajè crus, rich in limestone marls, and Pira, which has complex soils composed of limestone rocks, blue marls.
Nebbiolo grapes are harvested manually in October, following a careful selection already made in the field. Fermentation, carried out by the action of indigenous yeasts, and maturation are carried out in wooden containers.
It presents a ruby red color to the eye. Its scent consists of a floral line, in which the violet stands out, a fruity trail and a spicy stamp that creates a very intriguing background. The taste is rightly tannic and dry, with a nice freshness and a fine aromatic kit which confirms the olfactory profile. Intense and composed.
Perfect to accompany meat dishes, especially with green pepper fillet.
