Description

The Donnaluce Rosato by Poggio le Volpi is a wine produced in Lazio from Merlot and Nero Buono grapes, sourced from estate-owned vineyards cultivated on medium-textured soils rich in microelements. It represents a tribute to femininity and the silent strength of the figures who have preserved the land over time, expressed through an elegant and authentic rosé, symbolizing light, identity, and sharing.

The grapes are harvested at full phenolic maturity and subjected to "saignée" after a brief contact with the skins. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures, and the wine ages on its lees in steel for at least three months, thus maintaining freshness and aromatic precision, while ensuring a balanced structure.

It appears with a pale and luminous pink color. The aroma is intense and complex, with initially aromatic notes followed by fruity hints of peach, Annurca apple, and wild strawberry, accompanied by floral tones of rose and a vegetal undertone. On the palate, it is soft, fresh, savory, and highly drinkable, with a long and persistent fruity finish.

It pairs perfectly with raw shrimp, spicy oriental dishes, sushi, spaghetti with clams and bottarga, or with a simple spaghetti with Pachino cherry tomatoes and basil.
