Lazio IGT Arcatura 2014 Cincinnato
Description
Arcatura was born in the vineyards of the beautiful Lazio reality Cincinnato, located near the homonymous village.
Made entirely from Cesanese grapes, an ancient Lazio variety, harvested and selected during the first ten days of October, this wine ferments at controlled temperatures, macerating on the skins for about 10 days. After malolactic fermentation, in which the wine acquires greater roundness and harmony, the wine ages for 8 months in French oak barriques for 8 months and for another 6 months in glass, before being released on the market.
Brilliant ruby red in color, the Arcatura di Cincinnato brings sensations of under spirits and very fresh balsamic notes to the nose. In the mouth it shows a good complexity, opening sip after sip for a decidedly persistent finish.
To be drunk from 2 to 4 years after the harvest, it is enhanced with soups and meat dishes with a very strong taste.
